Audible In Its Radiance
Enjoying the peaceful tranquility of Minnehaha creek in Minneapolis once in adolescence, I came upon a flower I later learned was columbine. At this time I knew not its name but I felt it speak. I couldn't fully understand its soft words yet it was very audible in its radiance. I sat near it and felt its presence and smiled. Since that moment, the Flower has held for me a language through which physical laws of the Universe and spiritual laws of Humanity unify into one voice.
This is the primary reason for our growing flowers: they're a direct call to the Divine. They each speak their own angelic song through their geometry, color, elements, scent, and subtleties; one of encouraging us at the soul level to remember our connection to the Divine, with each other, and with ourselves.
This is something with which our mammalian rationality struggles. But the message is best understood in our higher brain. It exists in the thin layer of our outer brain called the telencephalon-our neo-cortex. It blankets the mesencephalon, our mammalian brain. Yet here in our floral brain we feel 'illumination', for these cells actually transmute light into energy. Here we have illumined empathetic telepathy (the realm of the flower sacred) above our mammalian reason, logic, and sympathy.
So the flowers DO have a message for us. Flower Power is not just a cliche. Their power is one of conveying the message from Spirit that All is well when we remember our own radiance and our own expression… when we each celebrate our own personal geometry, our element. And walk peacefully in the garden with each other….Then we are in health. Then we are in alignment with our soul's purpose. Each flower has a different suggestion for us- different ways of encouragement. When we enjoy a walk in the garden, glance at a bouquet on the mantle, or toss one in a wedding, we have the sounds of the flowers singing with us in mutual celebration.
